Human Hypostasis, technology & social media
A project raising an argument about the manifold impact of technology (digitalization) and social media on our lives, and how it forces us to reassess who we are and what it means to be human.
Our digital footprint in today’s information society and digital media culture; the time spent, the stories, images, and the traces we leave behind have become synonymous with who we are.
Rapid technological advancement and the connectivity culture of social media have significant benefits for our lives; at the same time, however, they carry profound implications for our lifeworld.
Digitalization has thoroughly changed the way in which we process experiences and information, and has reshaped privacy, power, memory and forgetting.
Are we indeed living through screens, having altogether forfeited our connection to reality?
